Adam S. Covitt is a member of the firm who has been a trial attorney for over 25 years. He specializes in the defense of hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, and other medical professionals at all stages of litigation. He also represents clients in general liability cases and matters before the Office of Professional Medical Conduct.
A former senior trial attorney at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Covitt served in the Office’s prestigious Homicide Bureau and was appointed Deputy Bureau Chief of the Criminal Court Bureau.
Mr. Covitt is involved in various leadership roles in his community. He is the Village Prosecutor for the Village of Kensington as well as the Village of Russell Gardens. He has coached numerous youth sports teams, chaired several charity golf outings, and served as a Vice President of his synagogue.
Mr. Covitt graduated cum laude from the University at Albany in 1996 and earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1999. As an undergraduate, he studied abroad at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Mr. Covitt is admitted in the States of New York and Connecticut, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
