Christopher Rust is an Associate with the firm serving the Albany Capital Region and upstate New York. He is an accomplished litigator with more than 17 years of experience practicing in State and Federal Courts throughout New York. Mr. Rust is admitted to the bars of New York and Connecticut, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Born and raised in San Jose, California, Mr. Rust earned his Bachelor’s Degree from San Jose State University and his Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York, in 2008. He began his career with insurance defense firms in the New York City metropolitan area and later clerked for Judges in the Appellate Division, Second Department, and the New York Court of Claims. He subsequently relocated upstate, where he has developed a broad litigation practice representing a wide range of defendants.

Mr. Rust’s litigation experience spans personal injury, general liability, medical and dental malpractice, premises liability, commercial liability, contract disputes, environmental law, appellate practice, and equine law.

Active in his community, Mr. Rust recently campaigned for Town Justice and has served on the Ethics Board for the Town of Niskayuna, New York. He has also served on the Boards of Directors for several organizations, including the Niskayuna Consumers’ Cooperative Market, where he contributes legal and governance expertise. He remains engaged with the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce.
