Gilbert Choi is a member of the firm, having spent his career defending physician and hospital clients in high exposure medical malpractice cases, as well defending insurance carriers and businesses in a wide range of general liability claims. Prior to joining the firm, he had nearly two decades of experience at several prominent defense litigation firms in New York City and Long Island.
Gil received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1995 and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1998. He is admitted to practice law in New York State and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He is the author of a chapter entitled, “Practical Tips for the New Malpractice Attorney”, in DeVine (Ed.), Medical Malpractice in New York, Third Edition (pp. 513-528). When not working on behalf of his clients, Gil is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
