Jennifer A. Atchinson is a Partner at the firm, admitted in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is based out of the Mahwah, New Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office(s). Ms. Atchinson is a trial attorney and litigator with substantive experience with large loss, mass casualty and class action claims. She has obtained defense verdicts in New York and New Jersey. Ms. Atchinson is known for her aggressive summary judgment motion practice and oral advocacy. Throughout her career, she has taken numerous cases to trial, taken thousands of depositions and attended hundreds of arbitrations and mediations (binding and non-binding). She has worked for some of the largest insurance companies in the world as to direct insurance claims, coverage, reinsurance and SIU matters. Ms. Atchinson has a wide array of practice experience, with a background including medical malpractice, toxic torts and environmental claims, bodily injury, construction defect, dram shop and general premises liability, as well as automotive (personal, commercial and common carrier) claims.
Ms. Atchinson was raised in upstate New York. She obtained a bachelor’s degree with honors, from Union College, magna cum laude, in 2009 in political science, philosophy and history. She was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. She obtained her juris doctorate, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2012 where she wrote and edited for the Appellate Review Journal. She has previously volunteered with the Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County and the Animal Legal Defense Fund. She resides in Camden County, New Jersey, with her son and dogs.
