Rani Kulkarni is Of Counsel in the medical malpractice defense team at BPN handling a high volume of cases representing hospitals, individual physicians and other health care providers.
Ms. Kulkarni earned her Master of Laws (LL.M) (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar) from Columbia Law School in 2020 and completed her first law degree, Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (First Class Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) at Monash University in 2012 and 2013 respectively. While at Columbia Law School, Ms. Kulkarni served as the LL.M representative on the Columbia Health Law Association, taught Masters of Bioethics students and participated in the Health Justice Advocacy Clinic.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kulkarni was employed as a medical malpractice defense attorney at a reputable U.S. law firm in Melbourne, Australia. Ms. Kulkarni has also served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Justice Forrest at the Supreme Court of Victoria acting as a bench clerk in medical malpractice and personal injury trials. Ms. Kulkarni started her legal career as a commercial litigator at a white shoe firm in Australia.
Ms. Kulkarni is admitted to practice in Australia and in the State of New York.
