Susan A. Vari is a member of the firm and has worked in the field of medical malpractice defense for more than 25 years. She has represented major medical institutions and individual clients in all aspects of medical malpractice defense litigation from lawsuit inception to trial. Ms. Vari interacts directly with institutional clients with respect to case analysis and recommendations, including presentations at client claims conferences. She has participated in a wide range of alternative dispute resolution proceedings in medical malpractice cases.
Ms. Vari obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University where she graduated cum laude. She thereafter attended St. John’s University School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree with honors. While at St. John’s, Ms. Vari was an Executive Member of the Moot Court Board. As a member of the moot court team Ms. Vari participated in national competitions and received the Best Oral Advocate Award. Ms. Vari also interned as a law clerk to former Chief Justice Honorable Milton Mollen of the Appellate Division, Second Department. She has been a panel participant for CLE programs for supreme court justices and law secretaries through the New York State Unified Court System. Ms. Vari is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
