On July 19th, 2019, staff from across VBPNP’s offices participated in our first annual service day. Volunteers split up into three locations: Island Harvest, Long Island Cares Inc. and Westchester Medical Center.

Vigorito, Barker, Patterson, Nichols & Porter, LLP is pleased to announce that Evan O’Hara has joined the firm as an Associate in the Valhalla office. Prior to joining VBPNP Mr. O’Hara gained experience representing physicians and corporate medical entities against claims of malpractice and corporate negligence from pre-litigation phases to second-seating trials at a prominent mid-size firm in the northeast.

On June 5, 2019, Miles Reiner secured a defense verdict in Sullivan County on behalf of a hospital client. The 51 year old plaintiff was brought to the emergency room following a motorcycle accident.

Vigorito, Barker, Patterson, Nichols & Porter was very proud to again sponsor a Little League baseball team in Orange County, New York. The team finished first in the regular season, posting an 8-3 record. On Saturday, June 15, 2019, VBPNP Law lost in the Championship game, 7-6, on a walk off base hit in the bottom of the sixth inning. The boys played hard to the very end.

On May 10, 2019, Mr. Ienna, with assistance from Mr. Jaffa and Mr. Mascolo, secured summary judgment in favor of a third-party defendant commercial electrical company. The case involved a premises liability matter resulting from an accident that occurred within a 22-story office building in the Financial District of Downtown Manhattan.

Vigorito, Barker, Patterson, Nichols & Porter, LLP is proud to announce that Valerie Siragusa has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Garden City office. Prior to joining VBPNP Ms. Siragusa began her law career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for The City of New York Corporation Counsel, Brooklyn Torts Division.

On April 2, 2019, Mr. Ienna with assistance from Mr. Jaffa and Mr. Mascolo secured summary judgment in favor of a third-party defendant, a drain and sewer cleaning provider. The plaintiff claimed personal injury as a result of a slip and fall within an apartment complex.
